Good prices and good quality tapas.
The caña costs 3 euros and the jarra 5 euros but the tapas (very plentiful) come free with the drink.
Lots of variety in the tapas (homemade croquettes, lacón, cheese, paella, patatas bravas, etc...).
Docamar
Patatas Bravas in Local de toda la vida, one of Madrid's classics.
A cheerful tavern from 1963 with a terrace, decorated with slate murals and popular for its famous patatas bravas.
The name of the bar originates from Donato Cabrera Martínez, who put the first three syllables together to create the name DoCaMar.
Its star tapa is the Patatas Bravas del Docamar, famous all over Madrid, but its homemade croquettes, tigers, calamari or the Docaburguer itself have nothing to envy.
The place is always packed with people so we recommend going early in the morning to get a seat and try what they say are some of the best patatas bravas in Spain.
You can buy their Famous Sauce bottled to take home.
Casa Labra
A century-old tavern with Castilian cuisine: tapas, meats and classic cod recipes in a place with a long tradition.
Their star tapas are the cod croquettes and tuna tacos in a 19th century tavern.
They prepare their own homemade vermouth, which is very famous.
As in all these bars, it tends to be very busy and either you go with a lot of patience or just when they open, which is usually quieter, or you have the option of ordering to take away.
Bodega de la Ardosa
El Ardosa is the typical Castizo and traditional Madrilenian bar, a classic among classics with a century and a half of life.
Pinchos, imported beers and vermouth on tap in a tavern dating back to 1892 with barrels and wrought iron columns.

In addition to trying the potato omelette skewer (which is a must), the cabrales croquettes, artichokes, cheesecake, etc... also stand out.
The place is small but the waiters are quick, and you can also order to take away.
